HERO
My co-worker and friend passed away Saturday while saving his 7 & 5 year old sons from drowning in a lake while camping with his family up North. What a hero to be so willing to give his life to save his little boys without thinking.
He was such a great guy and an awesome person to work with. He made the day bearable to get through. Even though I only worked with him for a short time, I am greatful for the opportunity I had to know him and to be touched by his spirit and awesome personality.
This event has made me realize how precious life here is and how quickly it can be over. I am greatful our Heavenly Father gave us the opportunity to have eternal families and to keep the people we've made bonds with here on earth forever. He loves us so much there is no way he would send us here to go through these trials and hard times, and grow to love our friends and families who help us through those times here if there wasn't a way for us to keep those relations. What a great blessing it is for us to know that we will see our loved ones again, to know they will make us laugh, to know we can make them smile again. It also makes me realize that nothing, absolutely nothing or no one on this earth is worth risking that blessing.
I am greatful that Scott's family has this knowledge and I know that it will bring them peace knowing that they are an eternal family and that this isn't the end of their family or love. Those two little boys are so blessed to have been given a father who loved them so much he was willing to give his life so they could live.
My heart aches for your family Scott. You will be missed!!
