THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS
I have been reading the best trilogy ever!! My sister is a book-a-holic and it works out great for me becuase she reads all these books and lets me know which ones are worth my time to read. Before the Twilight series I don't think I had read a book since High School. I LoVe the Twilight series with all that I am...but I'm going to dare say I LOVE this series better! I have had it sitting in my room for almost a year while I read other books and I am kicking myself that I didn't pick these up sooner.
To compare them to Twilight i would have to say these are "darker". It follows the Shadowhunters, hot warriors who basically kill demons that are roaming the earth. Then there are the Downworlders, which are the vampires, warewolves, faeries, warlocks and such which are completely different than demons.
The twists and turns and battles and love stories in this series captivated me! There is one twist that I think she took too long clearing up, but atleast it got cleared up!!
This sucked me in 110% I want to live in this world of beautiful demon-butt kicking Shadowhunters.
I just finished the last book yesturday...I haven't even read the Epilogue yet, but I couldn't wait another day to scream to the world READ THESE BOOKS!!!
I usually don't read a series until it's completed, which I thought this was. But as I was googling it the other day I see she has a 4th book The City of Fallen Angels in the works not due out until March 2011!!! I hope I can hold out until it's released...waiting for Breaking Dawn just about killed me!
Atleast this one wraps things up before it ends.

Do you have these?? I would be interested in a new read. I've read Twilight way too much. My brain is mush!!
Now you should read Fablehave!! It is so good, and just as addicting.
I liked Fablehaven as well. But now I'll have to take a look at these... maybe I should wait until its closer to March 2011 though if there is another book coming out?
First of all - you're adorable, Andie. Second - I'm not sure I've ever finished a single book in my life besides the Twilight series and the BOM. So - am I really gonna love them? Becuase I was (ok still am) obsessed with Twilight!! Anyway - thanks for sharing! I'd love another book series. Love ya.
